About Danny
I have passion and enthusiasm for government and politics. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science from East Carolina University in December of 2019.
I am currently a full-time tutor and mentor at a middle school, working with 4-5 groups per day, each with 2-3 students. I enjoy working with kids to teach them the skills they need and to help them acquire the knowledge to be successful. I also focus on their social and emotional behaviors to solve challenges by working with them to help them understand and work on appropriate behavior by building on their lagging skills.
Tutor via AmeriCorps*State and Local
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science from East Carolina University with a 3.39 GPA in December of 2019.
Courses in national, state, and local government created the foundation to learn about complex governmental institutions and political subdisciplines and concepts (e.g., international relations, classical liberalism, gentrification, public policy, etc.).

I enjoy icebreakers and asking general questions about students. Usually, I will ask my students where they are from, what they enjoy eating, what their favorite music or television show is, what their favorite subject in school is, and what they aspire to be as an adult.
As time progresses, I will converse with them and observe what they seem to enjoy most and try to bond with them with conversations about said enjoyment.
Middle school and elementary school scholars. The middle school scholars present academic and behavior challenges that are worked on day-to-day so they can become successful in their academics and respond to situations appropriately and proactively.
