About Dina
Hi, I'm Dina! I am a senior in the International Baccleaurate Program at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, FL. I have an unweighted 4.0 GPA and I have a 1530 SAT super score. I scored a 760 on the SAT Math section, and I am eager to help high school students improve their scores on the SAT/PSAT Math section. I have over a year of experience in tutoring students for SAT Math at my high school. I also have almost two years of experience as a math tutor at Kumon where I currently tutor elementary to high school students.
Through my private tutoring, I will help students achieve a high score on the SAT/PSAT Math section, which will ultimately prepare students for college, help them get into the college of their choice, and qualify for scholarships. Students are required to have the Official Collegeboard SAT Study Guide for tutoring sessions. I use Collegeboard's Practice Tests to teach students how to approach each problem in the No Calculator and Calculator section of the SAT/PSAT Math section. Although Collegeboard purposefully makes the SAT Math section look scary to some at a first glance, there are a variety of strategies I teach that will reveal the simplicity of the problems. I also teach several calculator tricks for the Math Calculator Section of the SAT that will help students use a minimal amount of math to quickly and accurately solve problems.
I enjoy assisting students achieve their academic goals, especially when preparing for college. I have personally experienced the difficulty in studying for the SAT as a high school student, and I understand how challenging it can be to improve your score; however, hard work yields high scores, which are all the more rewarding for both the student and the tutor!

Details
I charge $30 per hour. I prefer to meet in a public location, such as a coffee shop, library, local cafe, etc. I am open to tutoring in a student's home after a few sessions. I am available on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm.
