About Mirabelle
For the period of my further employment I held a position of Senior Lecturer at the Department of French Studies, Faculty of Foreign Languages than I moved to the Department of Oriental Languages and Regional Studies on the same position, and later I held a position of Associate Professor at the same Faculty (since 2010 – Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies) North-Eastern Federal University. Institute prepares high school teachers, translators and interpreters, specialists in Arctic regional studies, and tourism; and offers a variety of specializations in foreign languages and literature.
My responsibilities included but were not limited to teaching undergraduate courses, courses for Master's Program, research activities, and student thesis supervision. The courses taught by me included «Classic Literature», “West-European Medieval Literature”, “Romanticism”, “Modern French Literature”, “French as a Second Language”. I was a scientific supervisor of the Students’ Scientific Society on Foreign Literature and can boast brilliant results of our work – my students have high scores in science and research due to their publications, active participation in conferences in Russia and abroad.

Античная литература (Греческая и Римская), Литература Средних веков и Возрождения, Французская литература 17 века (Классицизм), Французская литература 18 века(Просвещение), Французская литература 19 века и Современная литература 20 и 21 веков - эти предметы я преподавала в Северо-Восточном Федеральном Университете с большим удовольствием. Лекции и практические занятия, научная -исследовательская работа со студенческим кружком Мир зарубежной литературы, которым я руководила приносил большой заряд энергии для новых открытий и очень интересных практических мероприятий (Вечер Античной драмы, Неделя зарубежной литературы, поэтические конкурсы Французская Поэзия). Классическую литературу преподавала на 1-2 курсах Института зарубежной филологии и регионоведения, который готовит преподавателей, учителей, филологов, переводчиков английского, немецкого, французского, японского, китайского и корейского языков. Охват студентов был большим до 230 студентов, для того чтобы получить хороший результат и заинтересовать студентов, необходимо было использовать разные приемы в методике преподавания -от тестирования, изготовления видеопрезентаций, проведений поэтического и драматического конкурсов, написания сочинений, до научной практической конференций, публикационной деятельности (выпускали студенческий научный сборник, методический разработки со студентами), где каждый мог проявить себя по мере своих способностей. When I finished my postgraduate internship at St. Peterburg State University, I started my work at Yakutsk State University.
I have a Yakutsk State University bachelor's degree in teaching French as a second foreign language. I also have a St-Petersburg State University postgraduate degree in Philology.

First I get to know the student. I ask them to introduce themselves and get to know their interests, and how they perceive their studies. I learn what worries them about the subject and what excites them about the subject.
I worked with students on different courses. They were usually 18-21. They had many different needs and expectations.
Do not worry too much about it. We always look forward to working with you.
When my daughter reached out to me for help. She rarely asks me for help since she is a smart student. When she asked me to help her, I was really happy that she trusts me to help her.

Before talking to teachers about their needs, students should ask themselves these questions: "Was my question already answered?" and, "Is it something my teacher can fix?" and, "Is it really necessary?"

My mom Mira Maksimova was my teacher from 1st and 3rd grade. She taught me everything in Russian and I finished with excellent grades. She helped me all throughout school. I read a lot of Russian books and wrote a Russian journal. She is a great tutor.
Mira is an excellent professor with deep expertise in ancient Greek, French and Russian literature. I was her student for three years and during this time I had a great pleasure to not only read classics but also organize events and perform in theatre plays directed by Mira.
