About Javier
Hi, I’m Javy—a Latin dance instructor with over 5 years of experience in Salsa, Bachata, and Cumbia. I’ve trained through classes, workshops, and team performances, and I love helping others unlock their potential through movement.
My lessons are welcoming, fun, and tailored to your personal goals. Whether you’re brand new to dancing or looking to level up your social dancing or styling, I focus on building confidence, musicality, and solid technique in a supportive environment.
I offer 1-on-1, partner, or group dance lessons in:
Salsa (on1 LA style or on2 NY Style)
Bachata (Modern)
Cumbia (footwork, rhythm, partner work)
Body movement and timing
Event/wedding prep or social dance skills
You’ll get personalized feedback, patient instruction, and a positive vibe every time. I teach in-person in Chicago and also offer online sessions via Zoom.
