About Donald
My areas of expertise are SAT Prep and pre 20th century history. I specialize most in the rise and fall of Rome transitioning into the rise of Islam. I have a BA in Classical Studies and in History.
I am passionate about history and the pursuit of knowledge. This work is important to me as it gives me the oppotunity to help others find become energized about learning.
I have a BA in Classical Studies and in History, as well as program certification in sports history. My formalized teaching experience is mostly limited to the peer tutoring I did in my final two years in college and my time as teacher's assistant in a 3rd grade class.

My primary focus in teaching is to help my student improve their ability to read critically about the subject we're studying. I start by having a conversation about what they already know about the topic. Once we have that established that, I review what they have been assigned, where they are challenged, and we ultimately work on study skills, using resources, and how to tap into lifelong learning habits.
