About Catherine
I love teaching Biology! I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University.
I have been a Biology TA/LA in college for 3 years and have taught Biology 162 and Biology 164 labs at Penn State. I have also LA'd for Bio 230 and Bio 240.
I started teaching at college after fellow classmates said I should consider becoming a teaching assistant.
I have been a TA at Penn State in the Biology Department.

If the student needs help with exam prep, I typically give them a diagnostic test. If they require homework help, I try to assess their baseline knowledge and work from there.
Mostly college students but occasionally middle schoolers and high school students.
Hire someone who opens your curiousity and makes you interested in a subject!
I am fond of holding office hours and getting through them especially through zoom.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about the fundamentals. What concepts have we worked through and think about a problem from an unconventional standpoint. If possible, ask other students about their opinions and work in a group. After brainstorming, talk the thought process out to the teacher.
