About Michael
I began teaching my classmates throughout high school, especially after scoring well on the SAT exam. Since then, I have consistently tutored students throughout college and by using online platforms such as Zoom and Skype.
I attended the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Mathematics. I have tutored high school and college students over the past 5 years in subjects ranging from SAT test prep to English and Mathematics.

Typically, I first review students' past exams to pinpoint areas in need of improvement. If a student has not taken the SAT exam before, I encourage them to take a diagnostic exam so we can most efficiently improve on their knowledge base.
I believe that education works most effectively through student-centered communication. Thus, I individualize the methods, questions, and test-strategies used in each lesson for each unique student. I frame new concepts within the existing understanding of the student so he or she may achieve understanding without the need to memorize facts.
I understand that every student has his or her own unique way of thinking and achieving excellence. Therefore, my approach is highly personalized and focused on teaching the necessary skills through the student's perspective. Constantly assessing, adapting, and planning with key input from the student is an integral part of my process.
I have worked with High School students, College students, Middle School students, and Adult students covering topics such as English, Math, and SAT prep.
