About Philip
Individualization & Specialized Support are not common attributes associated with the typical school setting. I offer both and much more with my catered solutions to take care of all of your students educational needs.
I greatly enjoy interacting with students of different backgrounds and mindsets. I often find learning from students just as rewarding as teaching them!
I initially began teaching as an assistant in a middle school near where I attend college in Massachusetts and almost immediately found that it is something I enjoy. After my time there ended I continued this passion by taking on tutoring jobs around my area.
As a college student I have experience studying and formulating plans for myself throughout my years in school. In addition I have tutored many students and find that my individualized approach has a greater impact on the students learning than the typical school systems methods.

Typically when I begin working with a new student I start with a baseline assessment to see where their level of understanding is regarding the topic of study I am hired to assist them with. After reveiwing the results of the baseline assessment with both the parents and the student, we then form a plan of what the next steps should be regarding the best suited approach to supporting the student in their goals.
I've worked with students of a variety of backgrounds and educational experiences. Most of which are struggling or dont have enough support with the subject I'm being hired to help with.
