About Yobi
All of my services are individualized. I recognize that standardized tutoring services do not work for everyone, as everyone learns differently and has a different starting point. In addition, I am an experienced yet young tutor, so I can easily relate to my students. I work to make my tutoring experience enjoyable, so students don't feel worn out or uncomfortable being honest about their progress.
I enjoy getting to know my students and guiding them in becoming excited about learning.
I began tutoring in early high school. I was a Spanish tutor alongside my Spanish teacher at the time. I grew to love helping students understand course content they previously struggled with.
I have an undergraduate education in Business Administration for Emory University's Goizueta Business School. I have been trained and worked as a tutor and teaching assistant in two high schools. I have also served as an independent tutor for middle and high schoolers for over five years.

About the lesson

I will have my student fill out a short survey to gain insight on their study habits, progress, and level of understanding in the subject area. I will then have a brief call via phone or Zoom to talk about the individualized services they are seeking, including the tutoring length, frequency, and style. We will then discuss pricing, and I will prepare an individualized schedule for the student to have an idea of what our sessions will look like. I am completely open to feedback on altering any parts of the schedule.
I have worked with students ranging from grades 6 to 12.
