About Jason
Welcome to Nautilus Aquatics; a dive shop with more than just ‘gear’. Our mission is simple provide our customers with an outstanding experience above and below the water. By having a dedicated, professional staff that puts the customer first.
Jason started his diving career on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. Melissa and Jason were on their honeymoon and he suggested they get certified together. They found a great dive shop in Sechelt and signed up for lessons. By day two he was hooked – and even ended up also taking his Advanced Open Water and Drysuit Specialty there as soon as he completed the open water class.
Almost immediately upon returning to Northern Virginia he found Sterling Silver Scuba ( now Nautilus Aquatics) and continued his diving career. In 2008 he was just an Assistant Instructor when he and Melissa purchased Sterling Silver Scuba. Now an SDI Instructor, it’s been an amazing journey!
Specialties: Poseidon Rebreather, Macro Photography, Drysuit, Search & Recovery, and Deep diver are among some of the many dives I can teach, but the ones I love teaching!
Favorite Dive Sites and/or Types of Diving: The small island of Culebra P.R. is my favorite place to dive.
Fun Fact About Jason Outside of Diving: There is only diving!
