About Liz
I love what I do. I love sewing and I love to share it with my students. I believe that everyone learns at a different pace. I take the time and I get to know my students and teach them at their level. I offer prizes & incentives to my younger students to help them learn the skills. I use projects to build understanding of skills instead of just learning the skill.
I am experienced with people of varying neurodiversities including Autism, ADHD, & dexterity issues.

When I was managing a sewing store, the owner sort of pushed me into teaching. 😂
I have been sewing since I was in 2nd grade, so over 35 years. I was the manager and sewing instructor for a small sewing boutique until the owner closed the shop and moved back to Brazil in 2021.

About the lesson

Typically I teach them the very basic parts of the machine and then we do a simple project. This helps me really get to know the student and how they best learn. After that, the student and I work together to take their lessons in the direction they want to go.
All races & ethnicities. Varying gender and ideological tendencies.
I would advise my student that you don't have to be perfect. Everyone is different and the learn things at different times and in different ways.

Details
My private lessons are $50 an hour and the student can choose 1-2 hour sessions. If they want to take lessons in small groups the lessons are $35 an hour per person.
I am working on small group classes that run in 4 week session that will run a little differently from my private lessons. Students will not be able to choose the project. They will complete a project in 4 week sessions.
