About Amy
My lessons are a wholistic approach to how the mind and body work together to make beautiful sounds. In every lesson, I invite you to explore your singing talents. I invite you to use your voice, be aware of what you are experiencing from one moment to the next, and to be connected to what your body is doing. When you have a deeper understanding of what's happening when your voice is being produced with ease, you can feel a deeper sense of balance and safety in the production of that sound. And it's in that safety, that you will find your freedom to sing with confidence.
In addition to receiving high quality vocal technique instruction, students registered for the upcoming Tuition Year will receive Alexander Technique coaching, as well as opportunities to participate in 2 recitals, Group Online Classes, special workshop opportunities, access to an exclusive Facebook Group for enrolled students only, Lesson Swap option, Online Lessons for those who can not come due to inclement weather.

I started teaching voice while in college (dabbling in it, really). I decided to dive fully into it when I started my family. I wanted to do the thing that I was most passionate about, so that I could tell my children to reach for the stars and never let anyone tell you that you can't do it!
I am an active member of the Total Vocal Freedom Academy - Exploring Alexander Technique.
I study voice (still!!) with Metropolitan Opera Singer and Exectuive Director of Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Martile Rowland to continue my education and striving to be the best singer I can.
I am an active performer in Little London Belles (1940 WWII Revue), Opera Theatre of the Rockies, and section leader at Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

I offer a free 30 minute trial lesson to talk about teaching philosophies, understand what your goals/needs are, answer your questions and to hear you sing! This is a wonderful opportuntity to understand how my teaching style may or may not fit with your learning style. We are only successful when we work as a team to discover more ease in your singing technique.
I have worked with people from ages 7 - 80 years old! I have worked with students who have gone on to college to pursue singing professionally, people who are actively performing in our community, I also coach professionals to help them continue to grow their abilities in working with young people. I have also worked with people who have autism, ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities, speech difficulties, and people who struggle matching pitch.

The live trainings are extremely helpful, but also available to view later if you need a reminder or if you are unable to attend the live training.
