I first studied with Jolie my senior year of college as a voice major. After years of voice teachers who didn’t quite understand my voice, Jolie was a breath of fresh air. She immediately knew that I had been placed in the wrong voice type and began working on techniques and repertoire to help release my authentic voice. I still use many techniques, visualizations, and body work from those lessons in my career as a soloist today. I would encourage anyone looking to develop a strong and healthy voice, as well as a varied breadth of repertoire, to study with Jolie Rocke Brown.
