About Emily
I have been privately trained in vocal performance for ten years and have been a vocal instructor myself for six years. I also work in children's musical theatre for fifteen years.

When working with a new student, I like to meet them where they are in their learning, find out what they want to gain from their training, and while helping them meet their goals, train them in the basics of vocal technique.
I have worked with children as young as eight and and adults in their late fifties, for reasons as various as preparing for a high school or college audition, Broadway and local theatre auditions, students who merely want to learn to match pitch, and students who are looking to gain a better understanding of their individual instrument.
Your teacher should also be a good friend, a voice is a personal and particular instrument and you should feel free to discuss anything you desire to with your instructor.
