About Jillian
With a BFA in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory, Jillian has performed around the globe from her home base of New York City in The Radio City Christmas Spectacular to the National Tour of Sound of Music. Jillian has a passion for teaching not only classical voice and musical theater, but also accent work and dialect coaching. After coaching with Jillian, her students have booked work on Law&Order SVU, commercials, National Tours, off-Broadway, and many more.
Jillian also teaches musical theater college audition prep and has many students attend the BFA programs of their choice.
Jillian embraces the students natural talents and uses classical vocal technique and a blend of acting techniques to hone and perfect the specialities of each individual student.
Jillian's lessons are honest, kind, exciting, and always has a fun and vibrant approach!
I've always been a performer and loved teaching. I started teaching musical theater in summer camp programs to kids, and in college all my friends came to me to ask them for help with accents and dialects. I eventually found myself coaching more and more auditioning NYC actors on sides/callbacks/accents and a lot of kids from my hometown and high school who were interested in doing community or high school theater and/or prepping for college auditions.
I enjoy working with others so much that it's become my passion to help others explore text/songs/sides with technique while helping them bring their own unique charisma to the piece.

-Maria Understudy in The National Tour of Sound of Music 2018-2019

In our first session together, I will spend some time getting to know the student as an individual and discuss what their goals are for lessons.
Once goals are determined, I wi suggest some material to start working on and the student will pick which pieces they'd like to do.
Everyone from Broadway and TV/film stars to 5 year olds just starting out! All are welcome!
It is never too early or late to start :)
