About Shakar

My services stand out because I am professional, punctual, practical, and proven. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with talented individuals of all ages and backgrounds — from beginners discovering their creative voice to established artists sharpening their craft. I’ve developed a structured yet intuitive system built to understand, support, and elevate each client’s unique goals, whether they involve vocal technique, creative development, life direction, mindset strengthening, or full-scale artist development.

I am efficient, effective, and confident in my process — which is why I offer a 100% money-back guarantee, no questions asked.

Your initial session includes a full Assessment, Consultation, Goal-Setting, and a Personalized Creative, Vocal, or Mindset Strategy Discussion. This allows us to identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and map out the next steps for your growth. I am extremely accessible and offer both in-person and online sessions for maximum convenience.

I genuinely love coaching — whether it’s helping a singer unlock range, guiding a young creative to discover their artistic identity, supporting an adult in rebuilding confidence, or developing an emerging artist from concept to performance. Those “lightbulb moments” when everything clicks are what inspire me every time.

My approach blends targeted techniques, intentional habits, creative exercises, mindset work, and personalized practices, all shaped specifically for each individual’s voice, artistry, experience level, and personal journey. Whether you are a vocalist, a developing artist, or a creative person seeking clarity and direction, my goal is to help you grow with confidence, purpose, and professionalism.

I began teaching after spending over 20 years as a dedicated vocal student myself. Throughout my journey, I absorbed everything I could from the incredible instructors I’ve trained with—most recently Gordon Chambers, Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and vocal coach. As I applied these methods to my own singing, I also found myself naturally helping friends, family, and fellow artists.

Over time, I developed a set of practices that blended technique, physiology, vocal science, and real-world artistry. As more people sought my guidance—and consistently saw results—I realized that teaching was not just something I could do, but something I was uniquely called to do.

What started as sharing exercises with my “singing family” expanded into a full coaching system that now integrates:

Vocal Coaching

Creative Coaching

Artist Development

Life & Mindset Coaching

My approach is practical, personalized, and rooted in understanding the individual—whether it’s their voice, creativity, goals, habits, or mindset. The last 20+ years have been dedicated to refining these methods into a proven system.

You will learn:

The 3 Components of a Remarkable Vocal

Effective, customized techniques designed for your voice, age, and vocal styling

Foundational creative habits, mindset tools, and artist-focused development strategies

And much more…

With over 20 years of experience as a professional vocalist, I’ve spent just as many years as both a vocal student and a peer coach. My training includes direct study under respected instructors such as Ken Tamplin, Roger Burnley, and Eric Arceneaux, and I am currently studying with Grammy-winning songwriter and vocal instructor Gordon Chambers.

In addition to traditional training, I’ve dedicated years to self-education in vocal science, vocal health, creative development, and human performance, allowing me to build a flexible system that supports not just singers, but creatives and developing artists of all ages.

My work blends vocal technique, mindset coaching, artist development, and creative direction — all rooted in real-world experience on stage, in the studio, and within diverse artistic environments.

I’ve developed a unique system built around three core principles designed to strengthen the voice, elevate confidence, and support personal and creative growth. I’d love to teach them to you.

My process for working with a new student or client begins with listening — not just to what is being said, but also to what is left unsaid. I pay attention to the tone, intention, energy, and underlying needs behind a person’s words. This helps me understand their goals, struggles, mindset, creative identity, and overall readiness for growth.

Our initial consultation is handled over the phone and is completely FREE. During this session, we explore your goals, your current challenges, your creative or vocal needs, and your long-term aspirations. I also provide a brief discussion on healthy vocal habits (for singers), mindset principles (for creatives and performers), and artist development essentials when needed. You will leave the consultation with targeted takeaway exercises, techniques, and a set of FREE audio lessons.

Because my coaching extends beyond voice training, this introductory call also helps identify whether you need:

Vocal coaching

Creative direction

Artist development

Life/mindset coaching

Confidence and performance support

Or a customized combination of all the above

All lessons and coaching sessions are conducted in person or online through any major video conferencing platform, making the process accessible, convenient, and flexible for all ages and all backgrounds.

My goal from day one is to create a space where each individual — whether a singer, creative, artist, or someone seeking personal growth — feels understood, supported, and empowered to develop with clarity and confidence.

I’ve worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels—from complete beginners to seasoned professionals. My clients include singers, creatives, recording artists, content creators, actors, speakers, and everyday people looking to improve their voice, confidence, mindset, or overall creative direction.

Whether someone needs vocal development, artist development, creative structure, or life/mindset coaching, I tailor my approach to meet them exactly where they are and help them grow into where they want to be.

Do your research and take your time choosing the right coach. Look for someone with real experience, proven results, and a teaching style that aligns with your goals. Check credentials, testimonials, and cross-references—but also trust how you feel during the initial consultation. A great coach should listen deeply, communicate clearly, and be able to explain why their methods work.

Whether you're seeking vocal development, creative coaching, artist development, or mindset support, choose someone who not only understands technique but can also guide your growth as a whole person. The right teacher will meet you where you are, challenge you, and help you unlock the best version of your voice, creativity, and confidence.

A recent moment I’m really fond of was performing at the Don Blackman Tribute Show. It wasn’t just a performance—it was a reminder of why I do what I do. The room was filled with musicians, singers, and creatives who genuinely love the craft. After the show, a few younger artists reached out, asking questions about technique, performance, and confidence.

What stood out most was seeing their excitement when something I shared clicked for them—that “lightbulb moment” I live for as a coach. It reinforced how powerful guidance can be, especially for talented people who haven’t had much support or direction. Moments like that remind me that my purpose isn’t only to perform, but to pour back into the next generation of creatives, vocalists, and artists.

It was one of those experiences that blended everything I love: artistry, mentorship, community, and real human connection.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before speaking with a teacher or coach, students should take time to reflect on a few key questions:

What are my goals?

Be honest about what you want—whether it’s improving your vocal ability, developing creatively, gaining confidence, or receiving guidance in your artistic or personal growth.

What is my experience so far?

Think about what you’ve tried, what worked, what didn’t, and what you believe about the field you’re exploring. Ask yourself: “What do I think about this craft, and why?”

What do I need from a coach?

Consider the type of support you’re looking for—technical, creative, emotional, or mindset-related. Each area matters, especially in holistic coaching.

How do I learn best?

Understanding whether you thrive with structure, conversation, practice, visual aids, or encouragement will help a coach tailor their approach.

What questions do I need answered?

Make a list. Then go deeper by asking: “How do I know this?” and “What else do I need clarity on?”

One of the most powerful questions you can ask any instructor is:

“Can you tell me more?”

It opens the door for deeper understanding, detail, and connection.

Were all my concerns addressed?

After the conversation, check in with yourself:

“Do I feel heard, supported, and understood?”

Taking time to think through these questions helps you clearly communicate your needs—and helps your coach meet you exactly where you are.
