Specializing in musical theatre, classical and pop/rock styles, I hold degrees in classical vocal performance and musical theatre. I have worked proffesionally in concert, opera and musical theatre across North America.
Especially equipped to help students who are interested in singing professionally and/or studying performance at a post-secondary institution.

I love helping singers find their voices and maximize their potential. It is a gift to get to share the joy of singing with students, while helping develop their vocal abilities and general musicianship.
I started teaching private voice lessons after I graduated from my undergraduate degree in music. Before then, I had taught music and drama programming at summer camps for several years.

I like to start by finding out what the student hopes to get out of their time with me. Do they love to sing and have always wanted to study it? Are they preparing for college auditions? Are they working professionals looking to hone their craft? After discussing goals, I like to do a few diagnostics to see where the voice is at. This could mean the student singing scales and patterns, or even a song they have prepared. From there, we identify a course of action and move forward.
Beginners, Hobbyists, Pre-Professionals and Professionals.
Ages ranging from 10 to Adult.
Understand that in a one-on-one setting, you want a teacher that can tailor their approach to your specific needs as a student. Are you a visual learner? Do you benefit from the use of metaphor?
