About Jacquelyn
Do you ever feel like singing makes your throat feel tired or sore? Find yourself struggling to hit high notes? Maybe you just love to sing and you’re not sure how to improve? Look no further than JM Abbott Music.
Here at JM Abbott Music, we use a technique based on the Cornelius Reid method of vocal training. This method treats the vocal folds like the muscles that they are, using a series of exercises to strengthen them and increase their flexibility — resulting in greater range, stamina, and improved vocal tone. We start by separating your vocal registers, strengthening each separately, then carefully pushing you and your endurance. As your voice grows stronger, you will be more confident in your singing ability with each lesson!
We teach classical voice, musical theater, and sacred music - students from middle-school age and up are welcome. Learn to sing or polish and strengthen your technique! Lessons are available online or in-person in the Logan, Utah area.
Jacquelyn earned her Doctor of Music in Voice Performance with Distinction in 2020, and minored both in Music History and in Theater. She studied voice privately for 17 years, and sings, teaches, and directs at every opportunity.

We are transplants from Central Oregon and were searching for a new voice instructor for my 15-year-old daughter. Jacquelyn moved to Cache Valley shortly after we did. We quickly learned of her extensive skill set and heard her amazing voice and saught her out. She has exceeded our expectations. From the management side, she is reliable, prompt in replies, reasonably priced, and flexible with schedules and circumstances. As an actual instructor, her enthusiasm for singing is palpable and her passion for strengthening her students' voices is obvious. In the months since my daughter has been going to her, I've heard my daughter's voice improve and her self-awareness of her own singing when she knows she hasn't hit the notes just right. Not to mention that Jacquelyn is so encouraging that my daughter always comes home happy and uplifted. Jacquelyn is everything you'd want in a singing instructor and more.

Buy One Get One 1/2 Off — Students who sign up for twice weekly lessons pay full price for the first lesson of the week and half price for the second. This offer is only available for advanced high school students and adults who will benefit most from this training schedule.
For example, if the student would like to take twice-weekly lessons at an hour each, they would pay $60 for a lesson on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, and then only $30 if they take another lesson on Thursday or Friday. This offer does not apply if a student schedules a second lesson in a calendar week and then misses it (e.g. has Monday/Thursday lessons and then has to cancel on Thursday) - the full price will apply to the first lesson the following week.
