About Daniel
I feel like I fell into it naturally. After I graduated from NYU, I found that Music Directors of various regional theatres would often use me as a sort of Assistant Music Director of various casts I was in. I also started to help a lot of my New York friends with their 16-32 bar cuts, how to act a lyric and dynamics. It was then that I realized that I had a passion for teaching and coaching in addition to my own performances. I could not be more grateful to have an addition to my passions!
I have a Bachelor of Music from New York University (2018). This degree specializes in Vocal Performance, Music Theory, and Music Theatre. My college experience at NYU was integral to my abilities as a teacher.

My process as a teacher evolves constantly as this world evolves. Typically, I enjoy checking in on the physical health of my student/how their voice is feeling in its current state. Then, I go through Warm-Ups that are personal to each voice for about half of the session. Following warming up, it is dependent on whether or not I have assigned material to my student to prepare or whether or not they have outside material they want to bring in. I am very flexible with how lessons are handled, but we will be singing!
I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through the collegiate level.
A student looking to hire a voice teacher should definitely examine their experience in the industry. It is very important that your teacher is versed in contemporary singing as much as the classics. A student needs a well-rounded voice teacher who knows how to use the proper terminology along with exercises that challenge them!
Youtube had a livestream of Stephen Sondheim's 90th Birthday Concert, and it was filled with All-Star Broadway performances all from their homes. It was absolutely mind-blowing and inspired!
