"Coach Edson comes from a very rich soccer background." says Ferdinando de Matthaeis. "He has played and coached in different countries, with vastly different cultures, bringing a plethora of experience and knowledge to the club. He is a person who is motivated by new challenges and decided to move to Florida to begin a new life and adventure. Edson deeply believes in the FA Euro project and will be instrumental in elevating the club's vision as we aim to become one of the more unique clubs in Sarasota."
"We are thrilled with Edson's appointment as Technical Director. We believe that a club can only go as far as the quality of its coaching staff and we strive to find the best people to lead the way on and off the field." exclaimed FA Euro Executive Director Marco Balsamo. "The enthusiasm and buzz that's being generated at the Academy in Sarasota is palpable and we want to take this momentum and begin to build off our foundation. Coach Edson comes in at an exciting time and we will do the best we can to provide with all the tools needed to succeed."
