About
I'm a recently retired Spanish and TOK (Theory of Knowledge) instructor. I have 30+ years of teaching experience, 12 of them at the university level. I have been an IB (International Baccalaureate) Spanish instructor for the past 15 years, teaching all levels of Spanish from Ab Initio to HL. I have also taught AP Spanish language and literature, as well as Latin. I have a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. My students say I'm a rigorous teacher who improves their performance in all of the second-language acquisition skill areas: speaking, writing, listening and reading. My goal is to foster a love of learning in my students, and I endeavor to teach them the tools they need to learn independently.
