About Bárbara
I love to teach Spanish and have done so for over 20 years. I like to make my lessons really fun and like to focus on conversation.
I was born and raised in Guatemala City and was raised trilingual in Spanish English and German. I am fluent in all three languages and can communicate in French.
I am a very good teacher. My classes are really fun and thorough. They can be taken online in any part of the world.
I love my students and have a good time with them. Learning a language is not easy and needs to be made fun. Muchas gracias!
I have a B.A. in Writing, Literature and a minor in Public Speaking.
I also am a translator and an interpreter

I like to offer a first free online class to my students. It allows the student to see if my teaching modality is what they are interested in.

Perfect! Didn’t know I was getting a friend and a tutor all in one. She’s so authentic, encouraging, and patient. I feel my growth week over week and am well on my way to fluency

I love working with Sra. Bárbara! We’ve been working together on my Spanish for around 5 months now, and I can really tell a difference with my comprehension and confidence with the language. She’s very attentive and ensures that I have a good understanding of the different topics before we venture into new ones. We always have a fun time during lessons too. Hands down the best Spanish teacher/tutor I’ve ever had!!
