About Elyce
I've studied Spanish for 6 years so far and I will be minoring in the language this coming fall at Central Michigan University. I've passed the AP Spanish Language & Culture test, and received my Global Seal of Biliteracy. Students ages 10+ that are currently not proficient and at a novice level are preferred. Some culture study will be gone over. "Testing" will be included via email occasionally as well as some worksheets to do when we are not in session! I am very passionate about educating younger generations about the Spanish language and culture! Everyone should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge. Feel free to email if you have any questions!!! :)
I've studied Spanish language and culture for 6 years, beginning in middle school and all throughout high school. I will be attending Central Michigan University this fall and will be minoring in Spanish, so I am very dedicated to the study of the language. I have received my Global Seal of Biliteracy, and I passed my AP Spanish Language & Culture exam!

To begin, we will go over basic "get to know you" questions etc to establish a comfortable relationship! No one wants to listen to someone they don't know! Then, we will go over basic phrases and words so I can get an understanding of where you're at regarding proficiency. After that, I can determine course of action and we will begin actual learning!!
I've worked with students around my age who needed help with Spanish and they've all done very well! I also have a younger brother studying Spanish as well and I've been helping him out at home for the past two years!!
Students should definitely keep in mind that all tutors work differently! Anyone considering hiring a tutor should email the considered and find out more information! Spanish can be a difficult language to learn, however my approach is different from others. I will be teaching words and phrases but putting the words together is the challege. I believe that with my ability to connect words with the English language I can teach ANYONE willing to learn.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You should ask yourself:
-Why do I want to learn Spanish? Am I willing to put in the effort even when it seems difficult?
-What kind of a learner am I? Do I learn better visually? Will I need any special attention?
-What kind of learning am I receiving outside of tutoring? I will definitely need to know if you're learning Spanish in a school setting/online so I can make sure lessons do not clash!
