About Erin
I am a certified K-12 Spanish teacher based in Baltimore, MD but currently residing in Reston due to the Covid-19 outbreak. I currently teach grades 3-8 but have the capability to teach or tutor at any level. I am happy to help with anythinf from lessons to homework help!
I have tutored for many years in Spanish and now serve full-time as a public school teacher in Baltimore, MD. I have worked in both Philadelphia and Baltimore in my teaching capacity, teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
I have studied Spanish nearly my entire life, growing up with immersion programs in schools in Indiana and Virginia. I received my IB Diploma and also attended the Virginia Governor's School for Spanish. I received my Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Foreign Affairs and received my certificate in TESOL, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Virginia. I now work as a full time Spanish teacher at the elementary/middle level in Baltimore, MD.

We will schedule a brief get-to-know you meeting via Zoom or Google Hangouts prior to beginning tutoring sessions so I can assess student needs. We will then work out a set schedule in which we can discuss level of learning and any additional supports or work they might need. All sessions will be held online.
I have worked with a wide variety of ages and students in my time as an educator. As I am certified to teach grades K-12 in Foreign Language, I am able to meet the learning needs of all age groups. I currently teach grades 3-8 in Spanish and also teach in inclusion classes. I am therefore well versed in creating accomodations and scaffolds for students at any level and also have much experience with IEP's and 504's, depending on student need.
