About Cristina
Mustard Seed Academy is a family-owned Spanish immersion nursery and preschool in San Antonio, Texas, founded in 2013 by educator Cristina Medrano. Located in the Southtown/King William area, the school offers small class sizes and low student–teacher ratios to support individualized attention and strong school–family connections. Programs serve multiple age groups and rooms: Toddlers (Hormiguitas), Two-year-olds (Grillitos), Preschool (Mariposas), and Pre‑K (Abejitas).
The curriculum delivers full Spanish immersion and integrates music and dance to teach language, traditions, and culture. Students participate in cultural events such as 16 de septiembre, the Calaverita Festival, and Posadas Navideñas. Mustard Seed Academy prioritizes safety and operates Monday through Friday, with daycare hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The center serves families seeking early bilingual development and preparation for dual-language elementary settings.
