About Kyra
I am a PhD student in Sociology who is currently working on my dissertation. I have been teaching in the field of Sociology for seven (7) years, but I also teach in the field of Criminology as well as Gender Studies. Teaching is truly my passion. I enjoy making learning a creative and enjoyable process suited to the particular needs of students.
I have been teaching since 2014, I currently teach at a state university, and I am in my last year of a PhD program in Sociology, Criminology, and Gender Studies.

We begin by assessing what learning modalities work best for the student. Then, we work to understand the student's interests in the field, what their strengths are, and what issues they are having. From there, I will organize each session to suit the students learning modalities while emphasizing their interests to make the concepts/theories not just understandable but applicable to real life.
