About David
Our passion is dancing Argentine Tango. We teach our students how to achieve a passion for the dance. Our classes begin with learning the fundamentals in the embrace (close and open), walking, crossing (follower and leader), pivots and ochoes (front and back). We use the fundamentals to increase their knowledge of patterns and movements so they can make this dance as their own.
We been teaching Argentine Tango for over 25 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have been teaching at the San Mateo Recreation Center for 18 years. We host and run a milonga (social dancing) every 4th Saturday at Dance Vita Ballroom for over 6 years.
We teach group and private lessons to anyone who wants to learn.

We love teaching Tango to everyone who wants to learn this dance. Nothing gives us more pleasure than to pass along our knowledge to others. It is very gratifying to see a student learn to Tango in way that reflects that persons' personality and style. Argentine Tango is very challenging so it takes a certain type of personality to learn it. Nothing makes us more happy than to see that persons' acheivements.
I met Nancy, my wife at a local salsa club. I started teaching salsa with her. Nancy had already been dancing and teaching Argentine Tango for which I joined her. Since then I've taught Argentine Tango for over 25 years.

New students are taught the fundamentals for holding and walking with each other. History about Argentine Tango is taught along the way in their learning. We teach new students about the proper way to dance the Tango in a social setting. Then we repeat this process until it becomes a part of their lives.
We have taught all types of students. People who are shy and want to socialize with others. We have taught students in their 20's to their 90's. Students who have been out of a relationships and want to reconnect again. Students who have lost their wives/husbands and are ready to meet someone again. People who have never danced and wanted to start something new. Experienced dancers who want to improve their technique and skill level. People who are getting married and want to learn a routine that will dazzle their guests.
Make sure that they enjoy the dance and are willing to pass on their passion for it to you.
