About Cornelia Hauch
I'm a 23 year old Danish girl, and I am currently studying International Development on my first year at University College Cork. I have been studying in English for years, and speaking it just as much as my native language. I have been tutoring for about a year now, and prior to that I had a job at my old school as a sort of tutor as well.

When I start teaching with a new student, I start by assessing the specifc needs of the student and their individual learning style. Some people are visual learners, others more auditory and this information can help me tailor the lessons to their need. During a lesson, it is always important for me to ensure that the student is understanding why things are done the way they are, so that they will be able to do them independently in the future. I check in a lot with the student making sure they are following the process of what we are doing. It is important to me that the student is motivated, so I put a lot of emphasis on doing things that the student wants to do, in order to achieve more engagement.
