About Adriana
Having been immersed in tennis from a young age, I understand the journey of a player, filled with highs and lows. My tennis background: I started playing when I was around 6 years old and started competing at 10 internationally. I lived in Costa Rica, where I was #6 or so in the national rankings from the ages 10-14. At 15 I made a jump and started beating the girls that always beat me and was #1 from 15-17 years old. At that moment I suffered an ACL injury which made me stop playing for a year. Regardless I was able to play college tennis until I got my second ACL tear. After that I didn’t fully recover but can still hit some balls and why I like to teach, as it’s a way to keep interacting with tennis.
