About Joe
Hello my name is Joe and I am a local Mission Viejo tennis coach in Southern Orange County with over 35 years of playing experience and over 15 years of teaching experience! I am local to Mission Viejo and have played on various tennis teams in Irvine and Rancho Santa Margarita. I am still a competitive singles player with a very regular, vigorous training schedule and have won various singles & doubles tournaments at different levels throughout my years playing tennis. I currently coach at the V&V Tennis Academy at the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club.
I offer fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Whether you need to work on stroke specifics like your forehand, backhand, serve, etc. or your mental game with strategy - I would be more than happy to help you out with your game! I am especially good with children as well. I have several protocols in place to teach them coordination while progressively enhancing their on-court self esteem.
I teach tennis lessons in the Mission Viejo area at Pittsford Park but will also travel up to 13 miles to a tennis court located close to you.

Tennis is a challenging sport which requires ease of flow married with complex neuro-physical functions. I break down each movement precisely into zen-like focus steps which promotes accelerated learning. I am proud of my record of having absolute beginners play quality matches within no time. One of the perks I also offer is isolation on the mental component of sport. As a competing player, I understand the myriad of variables that can affect sound play. These elements are what I like to bring out in my students - how to play their best when the situation can be disadvantageous.

Look to see if they connect with they way you particularly learn. Some instructors want to throw 'facts' at you rather than finding ways in which you can connect to the moment of play.
