About Tsz Ho
I believe music is the best way to discover beauty and color in the world. I believe music is a life style. I believe music is a universal language which everyone could understand.
My name is Leonard Chow and I am currently a teaching assistant at the University of Houston. I am a doctoral student and my major study is the violin performance while my minor instrument is the viola. My responsibilities include playing as a violist in the symphony orchestra and assisting the string department.
Before moving to Houston, I was a graduate assistant in Stephen F. Austin State University, responsible for teaching minor violin students and leading the orchestra as the concertmaster.
I have been teaching privately since 2004 and many of my students have outstanding result in exams held by Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music.

I started teaching since 2004 when I started to go to university for music diploma. I have been teaching private lessons, group lessons, studios and also in university.
I am a violin performance, doctoral degree student in University of Houston. My major instrument is the violin while minor instrument is the viola.

It depends on the age and educational background of the student... If the student is really young (4-6) I wont force my student to read music which, could add more difficulties on top of learning to play the instrument. Instead, I could teach by singing first and play after.
For the other students, the lesson basically focus on three aspect, technical work, pieces and musical knowledge.
I have been teaching students from 4 - 20 mostly. For private students most of them are middle or high school students and for university, I taught music minor student as part of my teaching assistant job.
Violin playing is a challenging yet rewarding art form. There are times which you will need discipine and paitent to get over difficulties but after that, you will enjoy what you are able to play =]
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I usually ask my students to mark down the main points and assignment in their handbook. Please revise and see if answers are there and if not, ask me anytime.

He is a very passonate teacher. Fun to learn violin with him. He can help me to learn skills in a short time.

Details
I charge 60 per hour, regardless of level of students. To me, every students are equal regardless of their playing level and age. Teaching fundamental technique needs the same dedication as teaching advance technique.
