About Cameron
Hi, I’m Cameron, a junior philosophy major at Yale University. I thrive on assisting fellow students to unearth and unleash their academic potential, so I’m thrilled you’re considering me as your tutor. Here’s a bit about me!
My fortes are writing, English grammar and usage, college admissions and ACT strategy, and (of course) philosophy.
I transferred to Yale as one of just 2% of applicants to gain admission. I was also cross-admitted to Stanford, the world’s most selective research university.
Before coming to Yale, I worked for a year as a peer consultant for Furman University’s Writing & Media Lab, which included a semester-long paid training internship and a certification process.
While at Furman, I also served as an editorial assistant for Furman’s Tocqueville Program and prepared the bibliography of a book forthcoming with Princeton University Press.
I achieved a 99th percentile composite score on the ACT and received a perfect score on ACT English four times. I maintain a 4.0 GPA at Yale.

As a philosophy major at Yale University, I’m constantly honing my writing skills or engaging with other students’ arguments and essays. I’ve previous experience working as a peer consultant in Furman University’s Writing & Media Lab, which involved a semester-long training program in college-level peer tutoring.
