About Laura
My goal with my students is to find the music that makes them excited to practice. Seeing my students fall in love with music they're learning -- whether it's through soundtracks from their favorite movies or Irish folk music-- is what gets me excited to teach. My teaching style is gentle but firm, a great fit for children and students interested in picking up the violin for the first time!
I've been playing violin since I was ten years old and had a number of passionate teachers that passed along their love for the violin to me. It's my honor to continue that tradition and get even more people to love playing as much as I do.

My youngest was interested in violin but has a really short attention span. Laura is super patient and takes breaks, and filled the time with fun music theory games. She's even working on a song from Encanto that Laura found violin sheet music for. We love Laura!
