The first lesson is about getting to know the background, ability, and interests of the student. If they've never played before, I get them set up well enough to actually play a song in their very first session! I then start piecing together a longer term lesson plan and begin assigning home practice goals that build on each other as the weeks progress.

Perfect! Stephanie is very skilled and patient. Her lessons are appropriately paced and she knows to teach older adults. After only a few violin lessons, I can hear a substantial improvement in my tone. Stephanie's cheerful and encouraging demeanor throughout the lessons result in a very positive learning experience.
