About Ellen
I have been teaching for 30+ years in the Baltimore-Washington area. It is my joy to share the wonders of the violin and viola with my students. I respect individual learning styles, and support each student in their strengths while addressing their challenges. I weave training in classical music with folk styles from around the world for those who are interested. I also have extensive training in the Alexander Technique, and work with my students on pain-free playing. In addition, I have training and experience in playing therapeutic music, which enriches my awareness of what I can offer as a teacher.
