About Daniel
Danny Mendoza is an award-winning storyteller working in film, TV, web series, and commercials.

He has directed two documentaries – Familiar Voices and Spectrum of Hope – as well as an unscripted web series for Telemundo & Kia (El Maestro) and commercials for Garnier, Dr. Pepper, Kraft, Visit Florida, ITT Tech, Ford, Claritin, Embassy Suites, Wendy’s, Subway, Ulta, Comcast, eBay, and McDonald’s.
He has produced both of the documentaries mentioned above, as well as two fiction features: Calloused Hands and 11:55. He has also produced more than 100 episodes of television, both scripted and unscripted, for MTV and Nickelodeon. He has produced pilots for both of those networks, as well as a series tape of Telemundo’s Upfront and scripted web series for Telemundo, GM, Verizon, and Ford. He has produced commercials for J&J, Maseca, Leon Medical Center, Baptist Hospital, VW, Memorial Healthcare System, Payless, Redd’s Apple Ale, Crest, Shutterfly, Kia, and Nissan. He has also produced promos for Nickelodeon’s Latin-American division.
He is a proud member of the Producer’s Guild of America.
He has written both of the above-listed documentaries, as well as a TV documentary for Discovery titled Why Not Me? He has served as a story editor on scripted web series for Telemundo, Ford, GM, and Verizon and co-written vignettes for Kellog’s and Univision.
He is fully bilingual, with excellent public speaking experience, extensive videography and photography experience, editing and Photoshop expertise.
He is a member of the Old Vic New Voices network.
Honors Scholar graduate; BFA in Film & TV Production from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Studied with the LAByrinth Theater Company, Upright Citizen’s Brigade (NY), INTAR’s Hispanic Playwrights in Residence Lab (HPRL), and Di Trevis.
