About Charlotte
I have over 9 years of experience teaching violin and hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a focus on Orchestral Strings and Violin. I enjoy leading string ensembles, youth orchestras, and group violin classes where students learn from one another. Watching a group perform together with confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I coach chamber music by helping students communicate through listening and teamwork. We practice section leading, tuning as a group, ensemble balance, and musical awareness in every rehearsal. I have seen quiet students become confident leaders after performing regularly with an ensemble.
I have worked with schools, community centers, and chamber groups to create welcoming learning environments for musicians of different ages. My goal is to help every student become a supportive and dependable member of an ensemble. Together, we grow through shared musical experiences, enjoy the excitement of performing as a team, and discover the lasting joy of making music together.

My violin lessons focus on helping students become creative and confident musicians. I teach improvisation through simple activities that make learning enjoyable and natural. We explore jazz, folk, world music, melody creation over chord changes, and musical storytelling.
I also cover ear training, rhythm, phrasing, harmony, bow control, and expressive techniques. Every lesson encourages students to think beyond written notes and trust their musical ideas. I once helped a student create their first folk melody after learning only a few basic chord patterns.
I enjoy working with learners who sing in worship settings and those who love musical theatre performances. I encourage them to explore their musical intuition while building strong technical skills. This gives them the confidence to improvise with freedom and expression.
Students learn how to listen, respond, and create music in the moment. We celebrate original ideas because every musician has a unique voice. With regular practice and encouragement, we will unlock your inner jazz or folk fiddler.
