About Owen
Helping students learn the violin has been a rewarding journey throughout my 8 years of teaching. I enjoy working with children and adult students, creating supportive lessons that make technical learning simple, enjoyable, and suitable for learners with different goals and abilities.
My teaching style combines patience, practical instruction, and consistent encouragement. Students strengthen bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, rhythm, sight reading, tone production, and musical expression while developing confidence through regular practice and carefully planned learning activities.
I believe every student deserves lessons that match their learning style and ambitions. Whether your goal is performing on stage, preparing for examinations, or learning for personal enjoyment, I provide supportive guidance, constructive feedback, and motivation to help you achieve lasting progress.

Every violin lesson is carefully planned to help students build strong fundamentals while enjoying the learning process. Guided demonstrations, practical exercises, and performance-based activities improve confidence, coordination, and technical accuracy, allowing students to progress comfortably according to their individual learning pace.
Lessons cover posture, bow hold, bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, shifting, vibrato, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, tone production, and music theory. Students develop better control and musical expression through structured practice, carefully chosen exercises, and regular performance opportunities.
Students receive detailed feedback, home practice plans, and regular progress assessments to encourage steady improvement. Whether preparing for concerts, auditions, examinations, or personal enjoyment, lessons help students build technical confidence, expressive playing skills, and a lifelong appreciation for violin music.
