About Amber
I am a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance. I believe violin learning can be a powerful journey for self-expression, emotional growth, and personal connection. My teaching approach combines musical training with a supportive and therapeutic learning environment.
I help students explore music through storytelling, improvisation, and creative activities that encourage emotional release. I use journaling, soundscape creation, and reflective exercises to help learners connect with their feelings through sound. These methods allow students to discover how music can support mindfulness and personal growth.
I have experience working with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adult students who seek healing through music. I create lessons that respect each person's unique journey and provide a comfortable space for exploration. One student found greater relaxation and confidence by using improvisation as a way to express emotions without pressure.
I believe the violin is more than an instrument because it can become a safe and powerful tool for finding your inner voice. I welcome you to explore music with me and discover emotional connection, creativity, and well-being through violin.

My violin lessons focus on developing creativity, confidence, and a personal connection with music. I teach improvisation in jazz, folk, and world music styles while helping students understand melody, rhythm, and expression. Each lesson encourages students to explore new ideas and discover their own improvisational voice.
I guide learners in creating melodies over chord changes and developing the ability to express musical thoughts freely. Improvisation exercises help students trust their instincts and become more comfortable with spontaneous playing. I believe every musician has a unique sound that can be developed through exploration and practice.
I use listening activities, creative challenges, and real musical examples to help students expand their imagination. Students learn how to blend technique with emotion while creating performances that feel natural and personal. One student discovered a new level of confidence after experimenting with folk melodies and improvising during practice sessions.
My approach supports students who want to explore different musical styles while building strong violin skills. I help every learner unlock their creative potential and develop the freedom to express themselves through music.
