About Soren
I am an experienced flute instructor with over 6 years of teaching background. I work with school students, college learners, and working professionals who are passionate about learning music. My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals and gradual progress.
I emphasise breathing exercises, tone control, finger technique, and timing accuracy. I also introduce advanced skills like articulation, phrasing, and dynamic control for higher-level learners. Along with flute training, I teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, and rhythm counting to strengthen musical knowledge.
I adapt lessons according to each student’s strengths and learning speed. My unique ability is simplifying complex musical concepts into easy practice routines. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident.

My approach to teaching flute combines structured technical training with a flexible and positive learning atmosphere. Guided by Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity, I personalise each lesson to suit the individual student.
I emphasise correct breath support, refined embouchure technique, stable tone production, precise finger movement, and accurate rhythm.
Through step-by-step exercises and guided repetition, students gradually build confidence and control. I adapt my teaching style depending on whether the student learns best visually, aurally, or through hands-on practice. Flexibility enables me to adjust repertoire and lesson intensity according to their goals and progress. Collaboration ensures open communication and shared responsibility for improvement.
Positivity keeps students motivated and resilient. Along with flute instruction, I provide training in music theory fundamentals, rhythm counting, ear training, sight-reading, and introductory harmony to strengthen overall musical understanding.
