About Jayamini
About Me:
Hello, I am Jayamini. I am a professional artist, qualified Further Education tutor, and the director of JammiArt Academy. Originally from Sri Lanka, my artistic and academic journey has taken me across the globe, allowing me to bring a rich, multicultural perspective to my teaching.
I hold a BA in Chinese Painting & Calligraphy from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, a Diploma in Mandarin Chinese, and an MA in Conservation of Fine Arts from Northumbria University. Professionally, I have served as a Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts at the University of Peradeniya and an Assistant Lecturer in Mandarin.
Today, I balance my time between guiding students online and welcoming learners to my dedicated creative studio space in Ouseburn, Newcastle.
