I'm an advanced skills teacher who has been trained in the very best methods of supporting students from any starting point. I have 24 years' teaching experience, leading both mathematics departments and supporting colleagues in other institutions to bring out the best in the students they teach. The past 8 years I have run my own tutoring business and delivered over 10,000 hours of high-quality lessons helping students on their journey to the next stage of life. I build on what students already understand. I don't attempt to make everybody deliver mathematics in the same way I do but instead, take what is already there and enhance the understanding. I offer lesson lengths from 30 minutes upwards and am happy to work with parents and students to find the perfect amount of time that delivers both progress and value for money. I teach from KS2 up to Y13.

Jonathan is an excellent tutor as he explains matters very clearly and is very patient.
I came to Jonathan as I was getting a low 3 in Maths GCSE and really didn't want to have to retake in Y12. Jonathan did more than just teach maths. He made me believe in myself and encouraged me to work hard. This made the difference and I'm so pleased.
Jonathan is an excellent maths tutor—clear, patient, and highly knowledgeable. He explains complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand and builds confidence with every session. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for strong, reliable maths support.
Jonathan played a key role in helping me achieve an A* in A level maths. He is fantastic at explaining things in an easy to grasp way, and I always left the sessions with a sense of accomplishment and increased confidence. I couldn't recommend a tutor more highly.
