About Daphne
I am a violin teacher with 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Violin Performance. I have taught over 300 students from young children to advanced performers. My teaching focuses on bowing technique, vibrato, intonation, phrasing, and expressive musicality. I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations with a strong record of excellent results at all grade levels. I also offer orchestral and ensemble preparation. My approach is patient, methodical, and always adapted to each student's individual pace and musical goals. Let me help you develop a strong violin technique and a genuine lifelong love of music.

My violin lessons are planned carefully to develop technique, musicality, and performance confidence simultaneously throughout every session. Every lesson starts with posture review and a comprehensive warm-up of scales and bowing exercises to prepare body and mind. Bow technique receives strong early emphasis as it most directly impacts tone and expression. Intonation is developed through scale work, careful listening, and tuning technology. Exam students follow the required syllabus with regular mock assessments and detailed feedback. Advanced students develop shifting, vibrato, double stopping, and personal expressive interpretation. Backing tracks build ensemble awareness and rhythmic sensitivity. Sight-reading coaching and ensemble skills are provided for students joining orchestras. Clear specific feedback is given after every performance run-through. My commitment is to help every student build a confident technique and genuine love of the violin.
