About Zaya
I am a passionate violin tutor with 7+ years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college learners, and adults, and I have successfully taught around 300 students from different backgrounds and skill levels. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and steady progress, as I believe that every student can learn violin with the right support and guidance.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone quality, which are essential for long-term success. I explain each concept in a simple and easy way so students can understand and practice with confidence. I also include exercises, scales, and songs that make lessons engaging and enjoyable.
One of my key achievements is helping students move from beginner level to confident performers. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel motivated and enjoy learning music.

I teach violin using a student-centered methodology that emphasizes communication, adaptability, and hands-on learning. I observe each student’s abilities, learning style, and goals to design lessons that maximize understanding and progress.
Lessons cover posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and expressive playing, while also encouraging creativity and interpretation. Real-life examples such as performing favorite songs, practicing for recitals, and connecting music to emotions make learning meaningful and engaging.
Alongside violin, I teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to provide a well-rounded musical foundation. My aim is to make learning structured, enjoyable, and confidence-building.
