About Karolina
I am patient, supportive and approachable, and I enjoy helping students build confidence as well as improve their language skills. I currently work in education and I am also studying Health and Social Care, which continues to develop my understanding of communication, individual needs and effective support.
I am passionate about helping students to achieve their goals, whether they are preparing for GCSE, improving their Polish or starting to learn the language from the beginning.

I am a native Polish speaker with over 10 years of experience working in a secondary school and preparing students for Polish GCSE examinations. I have successfully supported many students through their exams and have previous experience of marking exam work, which gives me a strong understanding of assessment criteria and exam expectations. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and can focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and exam technique. I can also help students practise past papers, improve their confidence and prepare specifically for the Polish GCSE speaking and written examinations.
Lessons are suitable for secondary school students, GCSE candidates, heritage Polish speakers and anyone who would like to improve their Polish. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes.
I can also support students who are not native Polish speakers but would like to work towards Polish GCSE. This is possible, but requires a much longer-term commitment. For complete beginners, preparation may take around two to three years or longer, depending on the student's starting level, ability and study time. Students working towards GCSE from beginner level would normally need several hours of Polish study each week, including regular lessons and independent practice between sessions.
