About Megan
Working with students has shown me that music becomes more enjoyable when people can connect with what they are learning. I like helping students discover their own style while building the skills they need.
With a Music Degree and 11 years of teaching experience, I've taught beginners and adult students with different musical interests. These experiences have helped me create lessons that balance technique, creativity, and personal goals.
I enjoy celebrating small achievements, whether it's playing a first song or mastering a difficult section. Seeing students enjoy their progress is one of the best parts of teaching guitar.

During my guitar lessons, I focus on making the learning process enjoyable while helping you develop strong playing skills. Each class is planned around your experience, musical interests, and the kind of songs you want to play.
We'll work on chords, chord progressions, strumming patterns, fingerstyle playing, rhythm guitar, picking techniques, improvisation, lead guitar skills, songwriting basics, and music theory. Learning through real songs helps you understand how these skills are used outside of practice exercises.
I'll share simple practice ideas and helpful feedback after each lesson, so you know what to improve next. Over time, you'll become more comfortable with the guitar and gain confidence in creating your own music.
