About Claire
Hi, I’m Claire! I’m 13 and I love math, especially the feeling when something that seemed confusing suddenly clicks.
I’ve been in math extension classes since Year 1 and have studied at Redlands since Year 5, after previously attending MLC. I enjoy helping younger students build confidence and realize that math doesn’t have to feel difficult or stressful.
Because I’m still a student myself, I can relate to younger students and explain concepts in a way that feels clear, friendly and easy to understand. I’m patient, encouraging and happy to try different ways of explaining something until it makes sense.

My lessons are relaxed, positive and tailored to each student.
I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and having another go. Rather than simply giving the answer, I’ll help them understand how to work it out for themselves.
Most importantly, I want my students to finish each lesson feeling more confident about math than when they started.
