About Nicole
Hi. I am a freelance Visual Artist ( MA, BA Hons), with over 28 years active artistic career; I have also trained during my MA & the Visual & Applied Arts Degree (Ceramics, Glass & Metal) MA in Fine Art Pedagogy, Art History, Arts' Aesthetics and Philosophy and later, also qualified as an Arts teacher in Adults & Further education.
I hold a Masters in Visual & Applied Arts/ Artistic Ceramics and a BAHons Degree. A Further and Adult Education Art Certificate. I have a long history of art creating, exhibiting, curatorial work and have been also a Fine Art Gallery owner.
I love teaching adults and children how to develop an artist' eye, mind and soul, grow in skill, talent and experience and create memorable art.

Explore Drawing, painting and mixed media, from the very basics of sketching, tonal value and composition through your favourite experimental approaches: from figurative, semi-abstract to abstract art forms and further to a diversity of mediums and art technics, ideas and supports.
Afterschool hours for children daytime and evening lessons for both young and adults or seniors. All welcome .
Basic materials provided to start.
My teaching methods are mostly traditional but also, fun and relaxing and one will experience and achieve fast improving results once started to work with me. Your creativity and experience will grow rapidly.
In practice, we look at sketching techniques & how to simplify composition; use a new medium and support and improve your drawing or painting skills (charcoal, pencil, pastels, drawing pen, etc) (watercolour, ink, acrylics, oils, gouache). Learn about experimental and abstract values, improvise & create freely along classical music tone or in silence.
Learn to work also from live still life arrangements or use your favourite photographs. Subjects can vary from : still life, floral, botanical painting, to portraiture and landscape, skyscapes or sea scape, urban landscapes and abstract experiments. at small scale, also available 2D/ bassorelief clay modelling.

Perfect! Extremely passionate and talented teacher
- Jake is easy to work with and demanding in a positive and constrauctive way. He is a fast learner and concentrates with ease on the technique; willing to learn how to sketch in various mediums and study more difficult objects/ volumes, tonal value expression, differentiation and composition.Nicole's response :
Perfect! Nicole was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to explain everything clearly to Madison in a way she could understand. At the same time, Nicole gave Madison the space and confidence to work independently, which really suited her. We were really pleased with the session and would definitely recommend her.

I've been attending Nicole's art (yes, sorry, art, but bear with me!) lesson's for a while now. Nicole is a kind, thoughtful, & dynamic teacher. She always goes an extra mile to deliver lessons that are wide-ranging. Whilst I'm no expert yet, I've picked up a lot of insight during this time. Insight valuable into finding your own style. Also, having attended group as well as private lessons, I know that Nicole likes to bring out the best of her students.
Nicole's varied & skilled background would be an asset to signing lessons... So go ahead, take a chance, & give them a try! (Maybe I will one day, myself!)I have been to see many of Nicole's classical singing concerts. They were all wonderful experiences. Nicole has a truly beautiful voice which really conveys the emotion of the songs. She certainly sings from her heart and soul. I thoroughly recommend her as a singer.
Nicole Bartos is a gifted singer and performer. Having attended many of her concerts I have witnessed that she draws her own following of audiences. She has a wide range of music and vocal styles, which she is passionate about and devoted to. Nicole is very knowledgeable about singing and the human voice, and conveys this to her students.
