About Tae
I studied fine art and fashion design for the total of 6 years and when I was finishing my 4th year of my degree I was offered a position to teach Visual studies at DAMELIN. Thereafter I proceeded to work as a lecturer at DESIGN SCHOOL SOUTH AFRICA, DESIGN ACADEMY OF FASHION and finally completed my years of teaching at FEDISA as HOD for Visual studies. I finally left after a total of 10 years of teaching to pursue 2 businesses of my own, one making formal wear and wedding dresses and the other helping young designers to start up their ranges...from master pattern and sample to grading and fabric sourcing. Thereafter I moved into the arena of freelance patternmaker for young designers and established brands. I am now a senior patternmaker for a big brand that supplies to Truworths and YDE. I love to learn and help others learn, give advice and guide the growth of others.

Tatum knew exactly where my mind was going with every procedure I thought I'd already seen, smashed it, and advised me as to how A, understood why I'd think that way and B. Gently guided me in ways I've never encountered, while feeling understood and nurtured. What a magnificent teacher. I've never been taught by the likes of this brainiac wizard!!!
