About Dee
Hi, I’m Deidre, a sewing instructor and fashion design graduate with over 5 years of experience teaching students of all ages how to create beautiful, well-constructed garments. With a BFA in Fashion Design, professional seamstress experience, and a strong background in youth and adult instruction, I bring a patient, hands-on teaching style that helps every student build confidence, creativity, and real technical skill.

I teach sewing through a fun, creative, and highly visual approach that blends fashion design concepts with hands-on skill-building. My goal is to help students learn to sew with confidence while exploring their imagination; especially younger creatives and beginners.
Each session starts with age-appropriate safety and tool review, followed by a guided demonstration such as stitching curves, practicing seams, or reading simple patterns.
Students will complete projects like a scrunchie, tote bag, or beginner-friendly garment detail, applying the technique in a fun and achievable way.
Finishing with a “show and tell,” goal setting, and positive feedback to build confidence.
Lessons include inspiration prompts, color and fabric exploration, and real-world design tools to spark curiosity and creativity.
